Hi Bella, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m a Swedish-Jamaican professional model with over 10 years of experience, traveling the world and working with top fashion brands. While many call me an influencer, I prefer the title “Model.” I’m currently a brand ambassador for Fashion Nova, which has over 20 million followers, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this journey.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Driven, confident, outgoing.
Who has had the biggest impact on your life and why?
Aside from my parents, I would say David Goggins. He’s a former Navy SEAL and one of the toughest people on the planet. His mindset and resilience completely changed my perspective on life. In this industry, where looks and personality are constantly judged, having a strong mindset is essential. Thanks to him, I’ve learned how to push through challenges and stay mentally strong.
How did you start your modeling career?
I originally aspired to be a professional football or handball player. I attended a sports school and played for over 10 years. But at 12, while visiting my dad in London, a modeling agent from Select Model Management discovered me. At that time, I wasn’t ready—I barely spoke English and was still focused on sports. However, by the time I turned 16, I knew modeling was my true passion. I signed with an agency in the U.S., and my career took off from there.
You’ve been featured in some of the world’s top magazines. Tell us about that experience.
They say a model’s career isn’t complete without appearing in Vogue, so I’m incredibly proud to have been featured there. I’ve also worked with Elle and starred in major campaigns for brands like Mary Kay, Laura Mercier, and Shiseido. From runway shows like Project Runway to starring in high-profile music videos, every experience has been a stepping stone in my career.
What have you learned from setbacks?
I don’t see setbacks as failures anymore. I’ve faced countless obstacles, but instead of giving up, I used them as opportunities to grow. I’ve learned that to achieve different results, you have to change your approach. Strengthening my mindset has been the key to overcoming challenges and achieving my dreams.
What mindset has contributed to your success?
A strong mindset is everything. I train my mind daily, just like I train my body. I never let external circumstances dictate my emotions. When you truly know who you are, you don’t need validation from others. Also, I never take things personally—that’s the secret to happiness and success.
Did you expect such success on social media?
Yes! I’ve always believed in visualization. Everything I have today, I saw in my mind long before it became reality. Being on TV shows and working with top brands definitely contributed to my online growth, but I also put in the work to build my platform.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I thrive on structure and routine. My day always includes working out, meditation, yoga, and pilates. I also love running and cycling. I’m constantly exploring new activities that keep me physically and mentally aligned. Surrounding myself with positive, motivated people is also a huge priority.
How do you define happiness?
Happiness is having a healthy family and a meaningful life. It’s about discovering your purpose and doing what fulfills you every day. Do what makes you happy because, at the end of the day, that’s all that truly matters.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
Tupac. His music is powerful, and I respect what he stood for. If you know me, you know I love hip-hop!
What’s your take on social media?
Social media is a powerful tool when used wisely. It has helped me land modeling contracts and brand collaborations. While it can be overwhelming at times, knowing how to navigate it strategically makes all the difference.
What’s next for Bella Davis in 2023 and beyond?
I have so many exciting projects lined up! I’m more focused and driven than ever. Coming from a small town with only 25,000 people, I was never expected to make it this far. But I’ve worked incredibly hard, and it’s paying off. The sky is the limit, and I’m ready for whatever comes next!
